This website features the Kanawayhitowin Campaign modeled after the Neighbours, Friends and Family Campaign to address woman abuse in Aboriginal communities across the province of Ontario, Canada by reflecting a traditional and cultural approach to community healing and wellness.

Kanawayhitowin, is a Cree word meaning taking care of each other’s spirit. This Aboriginal campaign, designed to raise awareness about the signs of woman abuse in our communities so that people who are close to at-risk women or abusive men can provide support, includes a variety of educational materials and resources that can be downloaded and/or ordered from the website.
